I guess I'm just going to jump right into this blog thing! So last night Fuego and I are trying to have a conversation about work, which is very interesting now that we both work for Wells Fargo (more on that I'm sure...) and I can't talk because Lily and McKenzie are arguing. Lily has found Kenz' twirling baton. Kenz is talking to Lily in a Shay voice, saying, "Lily, no ma'am. Give that back to me!" So Lily runs off with the baton, jumps on top of the couch and is holding it in the air. McKenzie picks up Lily's Mickey Mouse scooter and is holding it over her head and telling her that she's not giving her car back until Lily gives back her baton. So Lily gets this look on her face (you know, eyebrows raised, mouth sticking out a little - and she's still standing on the couch) and puts up one finger and says, "ONE..." Then puts up two fingers and says "TWO..."
Needless to say, we didn't set great examples as parents, or handle this appropriately. We were too busy laughing hysterically.
