We did the bluebonnet thing for the first time this year...as you can see, we were not the only people interested in this particular site for pictures. You will however note the sign next to Fuego which clearly states that we are not supposed to be there. Also note the barbed wire fence. Yes we did have to crawl through a widened space, stretched by the flower seekers that have gone before us.
I work with someone from Washington and she laughed out loud at my pictures because the thinks it is so funny the things we do to take pictures with "those blue flowers".

continued...
Okay sorry about that folks! I know better than to try to type when Bella is wanting attention. Where were we? So McKenzie cracked me up at the dentist. I laughed out loud at this. Her extractions were being done by Dr. Siegle, who is not her regular dentist, and we were having to discuss this at great length. They call us back and we are walking down the hall and she says, under her breath, "He better not look like a Siegle". And I said, "What's a Siegle?" And she says, "duh Mom...the bird?"
Lily also cracked up us at dinner the other night (you know it's good if it stands out for more than a day in this family)! So Lily is very carefully transferring rice into a corn tortilla with her spoon and she is really concentrating hard. McKenzie asks her, "Are you making a taco?" to which Lily replies, with an attitude, "I'm not making a taco...I'm Lily Grace Ramirez!"
We returned to church today and it felt so good! New pictures coming this week!

We're baaaaaack!!
I don't even know where to start it's been so long!! No sense in backtracking...it's late and I'm tired but you have to start somewhere, right? Bella will wear shoes now *insert singing hallelujah* and she is becoming a chunky monkey! When the Dr. said she was still in the 25th percentile, I laughed out loud! Her two front teeth are coming in so that's always a fun time.
McKenzie had her last two baby teeth pulled this week. Next week she goes for an ortho consultation so we can get braces put on *insert more singing* so that we can actually get a real smile out of her when there's a camera in the room. Her allergies are finally under control, although we will be dairy free indefinitely.
More tomorrow. Sorry.

It's a Start!
I know, I know...all you want is pictures of the girls! But this is a start! All is well in our world and I will get back into a routine of posting updates, with pictures. Lily had fun trick or treating last night. Bella slept through the entire evening! Donna and Ampi, can you email me your pictures from last weekend?
My mini update on each of us: Fuego is Fuego. I am exhausted and in need of a pedicure and a nap. McKenzie is a helper as usual. Lily is quite a handful lately - I had to give her a little pop on the bootie in Kohl's earlier today and she started yelling at me, "You no give me pow-pow Mommy, okay?!" But I mean YELLING. Repeatedly. Like there were Moms laughing. Bella has been feisty and demanding today. The only thing that makes her happy is to play with my cell phone, and she is teething, so that means drooling, which means my Blackberry is completely taken apart and laying out to hopefully dry, so that it might work again. Have a GREAT Monday and I'll post again SOON :)

Girls Together At Last!

Just as we're starting to get into the groove of things...it's time for Mom to go back to work. I have successfully gotten out of the house with the girls, without crying, dressed with makeup. Once. But it happened!
I have come up with the greatest invention of all time if anyone is interested: install a mirror on the inside of your freezer door. This is the only place where makeup can be put on without sweating to death, without your kids trying to steal your makeup, or even talk to you for that matter. All they can do is stare and wonder what you're doing.
Lily woke up today officially "herself" again and that is a huge relief. Let's just say that somewhere along the way she learned how to be quite needy, demanding and overall high maintenance. Probably got it from her Dad, but that's just a guess :p
Isabella started sleeping through the night last week, and has done it every night since. Last night was my first night to not have to set my alarm for every four hours to give Lily her medication, so it was my first time to sleep through the night! WAHOO!
McKenzie is performing Monday night in an AISD-wide Recorder Music Performance. Top performers from each elementary school are invited to rehearse and perform together, so we are looking forward to that! She is super excited that her teachers have announced no more homework for the rest of the school year. Better call to confirm that.
Mom got to see RENT Thursday night with some friends and actually enjoyed being away from Fuego and the girls! I've turned into quite the homebody lately :)
Fuego is Fuego. He has to put up with all of us. Mental note: check in on him to see what's going on in his world!
