Girls Together At Last!

Just as we're starting to get into the groove of things...it's time for Mom to go back to work. I have successfully gotten out of the house with the girls, without crying, dressed with makeup. Once. But it happened!
I have come up with the greatest invention of all time if anyone is interested: install a mirror on the inside of your freezer door. This is the only place where makeup can be put on without sweating to death, without your kids trying to steal your makeup, or even talk to you for that matter. All they can do is stare and wonder what you're doing.
Lily woke up today officially "herself" again and that is a huge relief. Let's just say that somewhere along the way she learned how to be quite needy, demanding and overall high maintenance. Probably got it from her Dad, but that's just a guess :p
Isabella started sleeping through the night last week, and has done it every night since. Last night was my first night to not have to set my alarm for every four hours to give Lily her medication, so it was my first time to sleep through the night! WAHOO!
McKenzie is performing Monday night in an AISD-wide Recorder Music Performance. Top performers from each elementary school are invited to rehearse and perform together, so we are looking forward to that! She is super excited that her teachers have announced no more homework for the rest of the school year. Better call to confirm that.
Mom got to see RENT Thursday night with some friends and actually enjoyed being away from Fuego and the girls! I've turned into quite the homebody lately :)
Fuego is Fuego. He has to put up with all of us. Mental note: check in on him to see what's going on in his world!

Miss Independent

Lily has decided to take this recovery thing into her own hands! She decided she was going "bye" and just grabbed her IV and took off. She also will not even get into the hospital bed, so she is sleeping on the pullout sofa with Dad and Mom is sleeping in the hospital bed! We are very grateful to the amazing staff here at Dell Children's Hospital. Although tonsils and adenoids are pretty standard these days (especially with my children!), it is not so standard to have them removed at this age. They are taking great care of all of us, the food is surprisingly good, the parking is free and the hospital itself is gorgeous.
Poor Fuego has his Real Estate Exam this morning as well, so in the top picture he is studying and holding Lily! If anyone knows how to overbook a week, it's me! Seriously though, the Exam was scheduled before the surgery. Thanks for all of the prayers, emails and text messages. They really help me get through the day!!

Eat Your Heart Out Chloe!!

JUST SO HAPPENS that the first smile caught on camera HAPPENS to be in a Dallas Cowboy outfit. Supreme Aunt Vicki and Uncle Ricky bought this for Cousin Chloe, who unfortunately was born into a Houston Texan Football Family and was featured on her blog in this outfit CRYING. Chloe, this is how you wear a Cowboy Outfit. Gracias Supreme Uncle Ricky and Supreme Aunt Vicki for your FABULOUS taste in sports AND clothes.
Love,
Your Favorite Supreme Niece,
Bella

Bathtime Fun!

Actually Lily was feeling a LITTLE left out during a mini photo shoot of Bella...so we took some bath time photos of LG.

Life is Good!

Miss Sarah is sick today, so Lily and Bella went to work with me this morning for a meeting. We're now watching cartoons while we eat PB&J Sandwiches and then we're going to take a nap - which I am certain that I need more than them. I can barely hold my eyes open!

We toured the Dell Children's Hospital yesterday in preparation for Lily's surgery tomorrow. The staff is really amazing and I'm feeling like I can handle this! Tonsils and Adenoids - standard stuff, but she's only two! I'm equally as nervous to be away from Bella, but my Mom will be here taking great care of her. Fuego and I will both spend the night with Lily tomorrow night. I will post updates.
